Classic Cocktails with Dos Gabachos Mezcal

Better than the originals with the bold flavor of Dos Gabachos Mezcal

  • Dos Gabachos Carajillo (Espresso) Martini

    • 1 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • 1 oz Licor 43
    • 1 shot fresh espresso
    • Ice
    1. Add mezcal, Licor 43, and espresso to a shaker with ice.
    2. Shake hard to create foam.
    3. Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
  • Dos Gabachos Naked & Famous

    • ¾ oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • ¾ oz Yellow Chartreuse
    • ¾ oz Aperol
    • ¾ oz fresh lime juice
    1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
    2. Shake well until chilled.
    3. Double strain into a chilled coupe.
  • Dos Gabachos Mezcal Sour

    • 2 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
    • ¾ oz simple syrup
    • 1 egg white (optional but highly recommended)

    Optional garnish

    • 3 drops Angostura bitters
    1. Add mezcal, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a shaker.
    2. Dry shake (no ice) for about 10 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
    3. Add ice and shake again until well chilled.
    4. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  • Dos Gabachos Old Fashioned

    • 2 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • 1 raw sugar cube (muddled)
    • 1 dash Oaxacan bitters
    1. Muddle the sugar cube with bitters in a rocks glass.
    2. Add mezcal and stir briefly to combine.
    3. Add a large ice cube and stir until chilled.
    4. Orange peel
    5. Luxardo cherry
  • Dos Gabachos Margarita

    • 2 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • 1 oz fresh lime juice
    • 0.5 oz Cointreau
    • 0.5 oz simple syrup or agave nectar
    • Muddle jalapeño (optional)
    1. Shake with ice until chilled.
    2. Rim glass with black sea salt, Mexican seasoning, or sugar (optional).
    3. Strain into a rocks glass over ice.

    • 2 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • ¾ oz Green Chartreuse
    • ¾ oz lime juice
    • ¾ oz maraschino liqueur
    1. Shake with ice until well chilled.
    2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
    3. Basil garnish (optional)
  • Dos Gabachos Paloma

    • 2 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
    • 3 oz fresh grapefruit juice
    • 1 oz agave nectar or simple syrup
    1. Shake with ice until chilled.
    2. Strain into a salt-rimmed glass over ice.
    3. Top with soda water.
    4. Rim Mexican seasoning & salt
    5. Grapefruit slice garnish
    6. Thyme sprig (optional)

  • Dos Gabachos Negroni Martini

    • 2 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • ¾ oz sweet vermouth
    • ¾ oz Campari
    1. Stir with ice until well chilled.
    2. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
    3. Orange twist

    • 2 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • 1 oz fresh lime juice
    • Ginger beer
    1. Fill with ice.
    2. Top with ginger beer and stir gently to combine.

Unique Mezcal Cocktails You Can Make at Home

  • Warm & Fuzzy

    • 1.5oz Dos Gabachos
    • 1oz Grand Marnier
    • 1oz fresh lemon juice
    • 1.5 oz apple cider

    (Go stronger w/ 2 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal & 1 oz apple cider)

    • Garnish: 1 cinnamon stick (light end on fire until it smokes & place in drink) and 1 Rosemary sprig (light as well until it smokes) & 3 thin apple slices with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top
    • Rim with sugar, cinnamon & chili powder (1 plate with lime juice to dip your glass and another plate mixing the sugar, cinnamon & chili powder)
      How to Make:
      Add all ingredients together into a shaker. Shake hard with ice and then strain into a glass (rimmed already) OVER FRESH ICE.
      Drink from the glass instead of using a straw to get the full experience!
  • The Chronic

    • 2oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • 1oz Cointreau
    • .5oz fresh squeezed lime juice
    • .5oz simple syrup
    • Half of a ripe avocado
    • Black Lava Salt

    How to Make:

    Add avocado, lime juice and simple syrup to a mixing glass and muddle until the avocado is mashed up. Add Cointreau and Dos Gabachos Mezcal. Add ice, cover with a mixing tin and shake very hard (this is key to break up the avocado which creates a milky look). Rim the rocks glass with black lava salt. Pour over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel and then lift your spirit!

  • Smokey Sour

    • 2oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • .5oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
    • .5-1 oz simple syrup (play to your liking)
    • 1 egg white
    • .5oz Ancho Reyes ancho chile liqueur (optional)
    • Bitters (garnish design in foam top)

    How to Make:

    Add all ingredients together into a shaker. Shake hard with ice for 10 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass OVER FRESH ICE or with no ice at all.

  • Dos Gabachos Potion

    • 2 ounces Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • 4 ounces grapefruit Italian soda (don’t shake, rather top off at the end)
    • 1 ounce rosé wine
    • 1 ounce lime juice (freshly squeezed)
    • 2-3 sprigs thyme (garnish)
    • Rim with Mexican seasoning (optional)
    • Thin sliced grapefruit wedge (garnish)

    How To Make:

    Shake hard for 10 seconds. Serve in ice filled cocktail glass or serve up, martini style.

  • Dos Gabachos Mezcalita

    • 2 oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • 1 oz lime
    • .5 oz agave
    • .75 oz pineapple juice
    • Fresh Mexican seasoning or Tajín rim

    How to Make:

    1. Rim the glass
    2. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass.
    3. Dip the rim into Tajín to coat lightly.
    4. In a shaker, add ingredients
    5. Shake
    6. Fill the shaker with ice and shake hard for 10–12 seconds.
    7. Serve
    8. Add fresh ice to the Tajín-rimmed rocks glass.
    9. Strain the cocktail over the ice.
    10. Garnish with a lime wheel or small pineapple wedge.

      Quick bartender note
    • If pineapple is very sweet, drop agave to 0.25 oz.
    • The goal is bright, smoky, and refreshing, not sugary.
  • Mas Piña Por Favor

    • 2oz Dos Gabachos Mezcal
    • 1 oz fresh pineapple juice
    • .5oz fresh squeezed lime juice
    • 3 basil leaves (shake with)
    • 2 chunks of charred pineapple (garnish). You can also play with other garnishes such as basil leaf, dehydrated pineapple or your choice.

    How to Make:
    Add all ingredients together into shaker with heavy ice and shake hard for about 10 seconds to create a frothy top. Serve in ice filled cocktail glass or martini style "up" in a coupe glass.
